This is a photo of Anta, the woman who brought me water every day when I lived in the village of Bele Kwara, Niger as a Peace Corps Volunteer. The two, 20-liter buckets of water that she carried on her head from the water pump to my house every morning was enough for me to cook, bathe, drink, and wash laundry.
