SOUTH SUDAN

Dinka pastoralists in this cattle camp live on raised platforms above ground to help keep away from mosquitoes.

I heard a story, though, about a young child that fell off the raised platform and into a campfire below. He died that night. Think about how many deaths like this and deaths due to malaria (transmitted through mosquito bites) can be prevented by sleeping under long lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets.

The Dinka tribe is the majority ethnic group in South Sudan. Its people are traditionally pastoralists.
