Gaithersburg Council for the Arts Photography Exhibit, "Through Our Lenses," Runs from January 18-March 30, 2008

Two of Irene's fine art photography pieces will be on exhibit from January 18-March 30, 2008, at the Gaithersburg Council for the Arts's lead-off show at Kentlands Mansion, entitled "Through Our Lenses." The opening reception for the show is scheduled for Monday, February 4, 2008, from 7:00-8:30 pm.

  • Take Kentlands Blvd. from Great Seneca to second traffic circle.
  • Drive 2/3 of the way around circle turn right onto Main St.
  • Follow Main to stop sign, bear left at stop sign to next 3 way stop.
  • Turn right onto Inspiration Lane, follow Inspiration through parking lot to Selby St.
  • Turn right at Selby St.
  • Kentlands Mansion is on your left, parking spaces are marked in white.
  • To park on the other side of the Mansion, drive around Mansion to Briscoe turn left onto Briscoe. Parking spaces are marked.
  • You may park on Inspiration in front of the Mansion, or use overflow parking at the Inspiration parking lot.
From Great Seneca Highway, South:
  • Right on Kentlands Boulevard, and as above.
From Quince Orchard Road, MD Rt. 124:
  • Turn onto Kentlands Blvd, drive to first traffic circle, enter circle, take first right onto Main St.
  • Follow above directions to Mansion.
From Darnestown Road, Rt. 28:
  • North on Tschiffely Square Road to Leekes Lot Way.
  • Right on Leekes Lot to Firehouse Lane.
  • Turn left on Firehouse Lane
  • Turn right on Briscoe St. to Mansion on left.
From Annapolis:
  • Take Rt. 50 West to 95 North.
  • Take 95 North to 495 West.
  • Take 495 West to I-270 North (exit 34)
  • Take I-270 North to Rt. 28 West (exit 6B)
  • Follow Rt. 28 West 4.5 miles.
  • Take second entrance into Kentlands at Rachel Carson E.S. (Right turn)
  • Follow signs to Kentlands Mansion
From Washington, D.C.
  • Take 495 to I-270 (exit 34)
  • Follow I-270 North to Rt. 28 West
  • Follow Rt. 28 West 4.5 miles
  • Take second entrance into Kentlands at Rachel Carson E.S. (Right turn)
  • Follow signs to Kentlands Mansion
From Western Maryland
  • Take I-70 East to I-270 South (exit 53)
  • Take I-270 South to Rt. 124 West (Quince Orchard Road exit 11B)
  • Follow Rt. 124 West to Kentlands Blvd., left at stoplight
  • Turn onto Kentlands Blvd, drive to first traffic circle, enter circle take first right onto Main St.
  • Follow Main to stop sign, bear left at stop sign to next 4 way stop.
  • Turn right onto Inspiration Lane, follow Inspiration through parking lot to Selby St. turn right at Selby St.
  • Kentlands Mansion is on your left, parking spaces are marked in white.
